What means Pétale de temps ?
A litteral translation of this title would be Petal of time.
The idea is to think about the time as an infinite flower which any of its days would be a petal.
Thus this website would show a petal every day. Sometimes they will be poor, sometimes they will be wonderfull, and sometimes they will be medium. Like days of life.
Author
My name is Camille Boulière, i'm a young man doing photographs for my pleasure and nothing else. I have no intention to work professionnaly at all.
When i'm taking a photograph, generally i try to do my best... that's all. As some said before me, there is "doing some photography" and "taking some photos". I only take some photos.
Equipment
This part is not here for promotion but only to inform interested people.
Since the begining of 2006 i'm using a Konika Minolta DiMAGE Z6, before this date i was using a Canon PowerShot A70.
Added to this:
- a big tripod, 60cm height minimum, 1m60 maximum;
- a mini tripod, about 10cm, easy to take in a pocket. It is really handy when you don't have enough space in your bag or just don't want to carry too much.
Softwares used
I'm exclusively using free softwares, from the moment photographs are extracted from the camera, until the moment they are displayed on this website.
- Operating system: Ubuntu GNU/Linux.
- Picture viewer: gThumb.
- Picture treatment (modificating, retouching, centering, rescaling, compressing): The Gimp 2 and Imagemagick.
- HTML and PHP conceptions: Bluefish
- Graphical environment: Gnome.
